Welding of 45 Steel and PDC

45 steel is a reliable structural material. It offers good strength machinability and affordability. PDC (Polycrystalline Diamond Compact) delivers extreme hardness and wear resistance that few materials can match. Welding them together creates a component that is both tough and hard.

The difficulty is real. PDC is sensitive to heat and traditional welding methods can damage its diamond structure. Poor bonding leads to premature failure at the interface. Precision joining solves these problems.

Our process controls heat carefully to protect the PDC layer while still creating a strong metallurgical bond. The joint is clean consistent and able to handle heavy loads. Impact resistance comes from the 45 steel backing which absorbs shocks that would crack a solid PDC component.

Wear performance is excellent because the PDC surface handles abrasion that would destroy ordinary steel. The result is a component that cuts or drills aggressively and lasts through demanding service conditions.

This welding solution is ideal for cutting tools drilling tools and high-load industrial applications requiring extreme durability and stability. When you need the hardness of diamond and the toughness of steel in one assembly precision joining of 45 steel to PDC delivers.
