Oxygen-Free Copper Vacuum Brazing

Vacuum brazing of oxygen-free copper (OFC) is an advanced joining process used to produce clean, strong, and highly reliable copper assemblies. Its excellent electrical and thermal conductivity makes oxygen-free copper ideal for applications where efficient heat transfer and electrical performance are essential.

Process
The process begins with cleaning and precise assembly of oxygen-free copper components, followed by applying a suitable brazing filler material. The components are heated inside a high-vacuum brazing furnace under carefully controlled temperature conditions. The filler metal melts and flows into the joint, creating a strong metallurgical bond without oxidation or surface contamination. Controlled cooling helps minimize deformation and thermal stress.

Application Industries
Oxygen-free copper vacuum brazing is widely used in electronics, semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, power electronics, electrical, telecommunications, and thermal management industries. Typical applications include heat exchangers, cooling plates, busbars, electrical connectors, semiconductor components, and high-performance thermal management systems.

With excellent conductivity, clean joints, high reliability, and precise processing, vacuum brazing provides an effective solution for demanding oxygen-free copper applications.
